For me, the most helpful wisdom has come from my relationship with God through the witness of Jesus of Nazareth, and so I have committed myself primarily to learning as much as I can about God's desires as revealed in Jesus' story and patterning my life choices and attitudes after his teachings. I say "primarily," because although I feel called to express my faith through the vehicle of the Presbyterian version of Christianity, I value the insights and wisdom of other denominations and faith traditions, believing that none of us can fully know God's mind. |

A Message from The Rev. Dr. Jan Trammell-Savin |
My name is Jan Trammell-Savin, and I am the pastor here at Hunting Ridge for its time of transition. It seems I have always been fascinated by conversations about meaning. What really makes life worth living? How can we respond creatively and hopefully when we hit set-backs in our lives? How can we recognize and claim the abundance offered to us in our lives? How can we be a part of making the world a better place for everyone? |
I've been married to my husband, Doug, a researcher in physical therapy and rehabilitation science, for 21 years, and we live in a cottage in northern Baltimore County, along with a few hundred books, a yard full of forsythia and apple trees, a couple of Model AA Ford trucks (1929 and 1931), and two Mackerel tabbies - Bonnie and Clyde. |
I'd love to hear from you in person at our worship location on Edmondson Avenue, or through the places of access on this website. What matters to you? Let's talk! |
